What is the MIM Programme?

The MIM - Managing International Mobility programme was developed by EuRA.

In 2012 we launched the MIM “Managing International Mobility” fixed syllabus qualification and in 2016, combined the old qualification Levels into one MIM programme split into three milestones:

  1. MIM Managing International Mobility Graduate (200 credits)
  2. MIM+ Graduate (300 credits)
  3. MIM+ Fellow

Member Costs

The MIM Managing International Mobility fixed syllabus is now migrated to our EuRA Academy online platform, and is free at point of delivery programme for ARP & EuRA Members.  Non members are asked to pay a registration fee to access the modules. The only time members will be charged is when they take the Quiz for each module, which costs €50.  So, if you just want to learn, it is free!  The same applies for all of our MIM+ content.

For MIM+ Modules there is no cost for EuRA delivered content.  We may charge for externally accredited content.

Simply log in to get started!  If you have not yet got a login, you may need to ask the ARP site administrator in your company to create a log in for you.

Non Member Costs

If you are not a member of ARP then the programme costs €250 per module.  If you sign up to study all four modules, we offer the discounted rate of €800.  Contact Maree Turner for details and for your logins.

MODULE 1

Mobility Industry in Context - "Supply chains, clients and processes"

This module looks at how our industry is structured and the logistics of delivering mobility services. We look at the complex supply chains and networks that exist between corporate clients, Relocation Management Companies, Destination Service Providers and other mobility specialists. The module also examines HR policy and regional and global variations on the delivery of mobility services. This module is the perfect addition to any onboarding programmes and for anyone new to the industry.

MODULE 2

Excellence in Service Delivery - "A new model for service delivery"

Primary Trainer:  Carmelina Lawton Smith

This module examines the complex psychological interactions that can impact the service experience of our customers and other stakeholders. We examine six core principles that can affect both the transferees and relocation professionals in achieving excellent customer service. The aim is to look at the individuals and how they interact as people, in contrast to the cross cultural perspective covered in other modules.  Anyone holding a current GMS (www.erc.org) or CGMP (www.cerc.ca) certification can take just this module and qualify for the whole MIM programme.

MODULE 3

Managing International Assignments  - "Processes for transferee assistance"

Primary Trainer: Susie Goodall

This module looks at how international assignments are structured and their key service delivery elements. Susie takes us on a journey from the start to the end of an assignment, examining all the milestones in between, from candidate suitability, assignment policy, the role of the providers to repatriation.

MODULE 4

Cultural Theory & Intelligence - "The psychological impact of relocation"

Primary Trainer:  Sabine Baerlocher

Intercultural competence is an essential skill for any relocation professional and this module examines the long established research and the new. The central pillars of intercultural theory are a great place to start your learning in this field but we take a more holistic and subjective approach, looking at an integrated, personal skills based model. The module examines the CQ (Cultural Quotient or Intelligence) philosophy and looks at how practice and learning can be highly effective ways of becoming intercultural competent.
