Simon has been in the relocation industry since February 1988 originally working for one of the largest relocation companies in the UK before becoming the Relocation Manager of Nestle UK.

In September 2001, Simon formed Icon Relocation Ltd with Icon Moving Services following in 2010; with UK offices in Sussex and Hertfordshire.

Simon is a member of ARP, ERC, EuRA and the FEM and holder of the GMS & MIM qualifications. The company secured the 'Winner' award by FEM in the European Desinations Services Provider category in 2014 & 2015 plus 'Runner Up' in 2012 & High Commended' in 2013.

I set up Louise Crichton Property Search in March 1998 after a number of years as an estate agent in prime central London - I had seen the problems many buyers had trying to combine hectic work schedules and busy home lives with the demands of their time consuming, and often frustrating, property searches. The buying agency sector was in its infancy at the time and I decided to seize the opportunity to set up on my own and build a business on the provision of a proactive and client driven service for buyers.

Over the past twenty one years I have found and successfully acquired homes and property investments for a diverse range of domestic and international clients. The majority of my business is based on client referrals and personal recommendations and I have acted for numerous clients on more than one occasion. I also work with select private banks, wealth management companies, accountants, solicitors and interior designers providing property search and acquisition services to some of their private clients.

In December 2018 I joined the Executive Board of the Association of Relocation Professionals as the representative for Property Finders. I am a full member of the Association of Residential Property Finders. The property finding sector has grown substantially over recent years with many businesses now offering a myriad of home search and property buying services. With my wealth of property search experience, proven transactional track record and well established reputation in the buying agency industry I hope to be able to make a positive contribution to the work of the Association of Relocation Professionals and The Association of Residential Property Finders, in particular to help promote methods of best practice and assist with lobbying policy makers about matters that will impact on property finders and their clients.

Having worked in relocation for more than 25 years, I have witnessed first-hand how, not only our role has developed but also the industry itself and how the benefit of our knowledge and experience has become such an intrinsic part of any company’s relocation policy.  This progression has in no small way been led by the ARP and I suspect would not have happened without the time and generosity of a succession of board members over the years.

I feel that the time is now right for me to give something back to an industry that I feel so passionately about and believe that I can contribute to its further progression during the challenging times that we now face.

I have experience in each and every facet of relocation with particular strengths in planning and protocol which I believe will benefit the members.  My responsibilities as Quality Manager for the EGQS and Administrator for our system database have given me a new perspective and better appreciation of how systems and technology can aid continual improvement and maximise the delivery of services.

I am always willing to share my knowledge with colleagues and peers.  Service delivery, integrity and professionalism are very important to me and I have always been at the forefront of service delivery and innovation.

Anna Barker

With more than 20 years’ experience in the Industry, and specifically within the Destination Services market in London, Anna started her relocation career at Karen Deane in 1996 where she joined at grass-root level progressing quickly to Operations Director and member of the management team. Karen Deane Relocation was a pioneer within a young and developing industry and Anna’s commercial experience and detailed operational knowledge was a key contributor in growing its client base over a decade.

As part of the management team, Anna managed a successful transformational period for the company, leading the integration of Karen Deane, as an owner-managed business to a strategic division of Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services Inc in 2001, when the business was renamed Pricoa Relocation to become Prudential’s foothold for the EMEA marketplace. During that period, she steered what had become one of London’s premier Destination Services company at its peak and successfully navigated the busiest, most challenging operational periods in the history of the company between 2005 and 2008.

Following a difficult economic period triggered by the demise of Lehman Brothers and the housing market crisis in the US, Anna and her current business partner Marco Previero identified a gap in the market and founded R3Location in 2011 with a view to building London’s premier destination services company in the Capital, offering a new approach for organisations moving key executives into London and the South East of England. One of the only DSPs with offices in London, R3Location reputation has grown as the leading expert in the Capital, and key contributor of market intelligence relating to the destination services industry in the UK. The company has now been running for 5 years and counts amongst its clients several FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 businesses and leading investment banks. R3Location is proud to have won the ARP’s Best Destination Services Company of the Year for two years running in 2015 and 2016.

Having an extensive knowledge of relocation management and destination services spanning over 25 years, I founded Beswick Relocation Services in 2000 with the ethos to provide ‘inclusive’ relocation, one that values our employees, clients, their relocates and suppliers alike with an ethos to treat our partners and suppliers with respect and equality. 

Experienced in management, policy review and group moves which I’m proud to include several successful high profile projects involving Cadbury/Kraft, Lafarge Tarmac, TalkTalk and AstraZeneca. I believe this will serve well to understand the real issues of day to day relocation. 

I wish to reflect these values and promote a viable, healthy and strengthening industry. I believe this will maintain a strong, safe network of providers with whom we all depend. I hope to extend a platform to make the ARP more accessible throughout the country.

Whilst dynamics, markets and the way we deliver services changes, our ethos must not; at the heart of every relocation is a real person, with real feeling and real concerns.

After spending time working for international companies and then teaching in the State sector I joined Bowker Consulting and trained as a consultant. 15 years later I am now the director of the company and still as passionate about the service we provide. 

Although understanding the UK system and securing an appropriate school is a small part of the whole relocation experience; getting it right can be a crucial element in achieving a successful assignment. As a company we are well aware how challenging and stressful a relocation with children can be; which is why we pride ourselves on offering a caring, personalised and professional service to ensure we identify the right educational environment for each individual child. We consider the current needs of the children and look ahead to whatever the future may hold.

We have worked hard to build strong working relationships with both the International and Independent schools and have a great many contacts and networks available to us. We appreciate that the State sector is becoming a highly sought after option, as many companies are undergoing changes in their relocations budgets and policies. Bowker Consulting have always worked across both sectors and are well-placed to guide parents through the minefield that finding a school in the UK can be.

We have equally established excellent relationships with other areas of the relocation industry as we know that working together as a team provides the best possible experience for the employee. I am keen to encourage more companies to forge links through the ARP and take advantage of the training courses they provide and am hoping to explore if there are other ways we can benefit from collaborating as a sector.
