COUNCIL MEETING
Report

The most recent meeting of the council, the first involving the full new council took place in February.  For further information about the council, click here.  Council Chairman, Carla Roundell Greene welcomed the council to it’s first meeting together and the work began.  These meetings follow a regular pattern, beginning with the report from the Chief Executive, Tad Zurlinden.  His report covers all aspects of the running of the association, from memberships to subscriptions, conferences and training, to fees and finances.

Helmut Berg

My name is Helmut Berg, (born 3/1945), based in Frankfurt/Main (Germany). After I left university I had my first serious business experience in an Advertising and PR-agency for two years. Then I worked for various German companies owned by U.S.-corporations (Hertz, ITT, Midas) in marketing functions.  For the latter two I assumed responsibility for European regions.  I consider myself (and others do so as well) to be expert in marketing and franchising of service-oriented products.  I find it fascinating how behavior in providing can influence behavior in “consuming”. You can translate that into “I like top quality service”.

Google Alerts

If you haven't already signed for Google Alerts, take a look as soon as you finish reading this edition of Point2Point. Google Alerts are emails which are sent to you automatically whenever there are new results for your search terms on the Google search engine.  This allows you to keep track of new web pages and articles concerning any topic that might be interesting or useful to you.  It almost acts like an online press clipping service.  Basically once you choose your search terms and the type of alert you wish to receive (see below), the system will send you an update of all articles, pages and posts that have been placed on the web, on demand, daily or weekly.
